We're at the beginning of an equity revolution, hundreds of years in the making. As momentum behind racial equity and inclusion efforts grow, people the world over are waking up to their inherent privilege and the system of white supremacy designed to give and remove access, opportunity and support based on a person's skin color.

 

This awakening has left many people blindsided and wondering where to begin. Just A Girl has developed a proprietary framework for navigating this process, called Privilege Awakening. It defines five stages of emotional responses to privilege and fosters action to move toward becoming a functional ally. Think of Privilege Awakening like the stages of grief, but for privilege.

PRIVILEGE AWAKENING
CLASS

A six-week series of live classes held through video conferencing. Participants learn how to navigate the difficult emotions in each stage, develop healthy coping strategies and identify what's needed in order to move forward in their journey to becoming a functional ally.

PRIVILEGE AWAKENING
WORKING GROUPS

Small, curated groups that work together to learn and support each other's Privilege Awakening.

​Working Group membership includes weekly group meetings, monthly group coaching from JAG, a monthly speaker series with JAG experts and curated learning.

LEADERSHIP ACCELERATOR

Our 12 week Leadership Accelerator cultivates the skillset you need to dismantle the systems of patriarchy and oppression within your organization, your community and your everyday life. It's a combination of tailored classes, working groups and real-world practice.

Privilege Awakening Micro-Sessions are designed for companies looking to introduce Privilege Awakening to their organization. We distill the core elements of the Privilege Awakening framework into a two hour micro-session. Participants gain a deeper understanding of privilege and how to begin fostering allyship.
